Fire and Emergency New Zealand is called out on average every three hours to a house fire.

A fire can not only cause thousands of damage, but there is also an emotional cost – let’s face it, fires can be scary!

Fire and Emergency New Zealand are working to make homes around New Zealand fire safe by offering FREE house visits to reduce the risk of a fire in your home. This visit will cover:

  • Creating a meeting point and escape plan for your home if you don’t already have one in case of a fire
  • Tips on how not to overload power points
  • Smoke alarm checks
  • Basic fire safety information

We encourage all of our tenants to take up this offer to protect yourself against the dangers of a fire – do you know what to do in a fire emergency?
