Toni Heath, Auckland Property Management Business Development Manager, outlines the process of marketing a rental property.

There are a number of steps involved in ensuring the marketing of a property positions the property in the best way in the market.

Before a property is listed online, marketing photos and a video will be taken in order to showcase the property to potential suitors. At Auckland Property Management we use a range of tools to enhance photos and video tours of the property so that potential tenants are able to get a great view of the place to determine suitability for them/their family.

Once a property is listed online, it will be available to view over a number of platforms such as our website, TradeMe, and Realestate.co.nz.  These are the most popular areas potential tenants visit when searching for a suitable new home.

To further promote a property, particularly one that is located close to a high traffic zone, we would suggest placement of signage.

Once the property is listed online we search our large tenant database for those tenants that have made enquiries on similar properties over the past month.

Lastly tenants can book viewings through our online booking software.  All of our software platforms are linked to ensure a smooth journey for prospective tenants to make enquiries and apply online.

The next step in the process is to select suitable tenants.
